Bible Cross References
Acts 5:38-39

Psalm 2:1-5
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure..
Isaiah 30:1
Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
Reflections
About God
God is wisdom and truth. No matter what we believe to be true, wise, or intelligent: if it does not line up with the truth of God, it will not last.
About Self
Every bit of wisdom or intelligence in my own life is from the Lord. There is no innate intelligence or wisdom that did not come from Him. (Therefore, it is my obligation to use it for Him in the way He shows me as he directs my path.)
Questions to Ask Myself
- Am I seeking truth, intelligence, and purpose in my life through God and His word?
- Am I trusting that if my counsel is from God, it will fulfill His purpose, even if it doesn’t look the way I expect it to?
