Bible Cross References

Proverbs 11:3

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Isaiah 33:1

Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

Reflections

About God

Favour comes from God alone; good understanding (which gives favour) comes through asking Him for His wisdom.

About Self

I need to guard myself against my own sinful desires…they are enduring and hard but avoidable in part because of Jesus and the wisdom found in him.

Questions to Ask Myself

  • In what areas of life am I dealing “treacherously”? In what areas am I seeking good understanding? How can I increase the latter?
